Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good? We got to the infamous "Ice Beach" and like most of my days in Iceland, it was overcast and cloudy. Let me first say, this place is as advertised. The contrast of the black sand with giant pieces of ice washing up on the shore is amazing. I found this diamond and I could probably shoot it a million times and never get this fabulous water motion.

Winter Wonderland

This was the second weekend in a row that Martin and I drove up to Yosemite in the hopes of catching fresh snow in Yosemite. The first time there was some snow, but the skies were clear by the time we got there (4am). This time it took some time for the skies to clear. But as they did we got this magical soft light on the snow. Having grown up in California, I can only assume this is the definition of a Winter Wonderland.

Bone Chilling

This whole trip it was cold. Really cold. As we were driving to the airport I saw this scene and had to pull over to shoot it. Of course, it then took 15 minutes for my hands to warm back up in the car.
